Boho is short term for Bohemian and has been popular since 60’s and I don’t think will ever go out of style! It is all about colors, plants, art, personal expression, texture, prints and patterns, and mixing pieces from different eras. You can’t go wrong with this style! It can be done with either second hand items for a really vintage feel or go with affordable new pieces.

In just about any dorm room situation, I’d recommend lofting your bed to create for square footage for some personal space. If your dorm has enough space for a lounge chair - I highly recommend getting a papasan chair. It is an amazingly comfortable chair but also great chair for studying, hang out or even cuddle with your loved ones! In my college days, I had a papasan chair and loved it! You can style it with decorative pillows and blankets to make it more comfortable for you.

Storage can be challenging for some dorms due to the room size. I came up with a trunk that doubles as both storage and can also be a side or coffee table or sideboard. Always think about multi-purposes for pieces in small spaces.

As far as I know, most colleges allow you to have live plants for your dorm. There are so many benefits for your physical and emotional well being with having live plants in your space, I’d highly recommend a number of small to medium sized plants. Take care to select plants that are going to fit your lifestyle (succulents are great at taking some neglect), as well as lighting situation. Great natural lighting is not a hallmark of most dorm rooms. I’d recommend taking at a look at The Sill for some easy to care for indoor plants.
