Art Deco Wallpaper: Introducing My First Designer Collection
Art Deco wallpaper has always stood out to me for its bold geometry, structure, and timeless sense of style. It’s one of those design elements that can instantly elevate a space without needing much else around it.
After months of developing ideas and refining patterns, I’m excited to finally introduce my first Art Deco wallpaper collection. This series features five distinct designs, each inspired by classic Art Deco architecture and reinterpreted for modern interiors.
This collection marks the beginning of my journey into pattern design—something I’ve been wanting to build for a long time. My goal was to create wallpapers that feel striking, but still work effortlessly in real homes.
In this post, I’ll walk you through the inspiration behind the collection and introduce each of the five designs.

Designing My First Art Deco Wallpaper Collection
Over the years, while designing spaces for my virtual interior design clients, I often incorporated wallpaper to add depth, structure, and personality. That naturally led to the idea of creating my own collection. The concept had been on my mind for a while, but I wasn’t sure where to begin or how to bring it to life.
About six months ago, while experimenting with CAD, I had an “aha” moment—sketching patterns that finally felt cohesive and true to what I envisioned. That moment quickly turned into a focused exploration of pattern design, with wallpaper as the natural starting point given my experience working with it in real spaces.
Each design in this collection was developed with both visual impact and usability in mind. I wanted patterns that feel bold and architectural, yet still work effortlessly in everyday interiors.
The Inspiration Behind the Spikewave Pattern
Take a look at the 3D rendering above, featuring the Spikewave pattern from this Art Deco series. This design draws inspiration from one of my favorite Art Deco skyscrapers—the Chrysler Building—particularly its iconic crown. I reinterpreted that architectural detail into a repeating, jewelry-like pattern to capture its elegance and structure.
To help visualize how this design can work in a real setting, I incorporated the Spikewave pattern into an Art Deco-inspired powder room. It’s a great example of how wallpaper can transform a space, adding depth, contrast, and a sense of character.
This Art Deco series includes five distinct pattern designs: Spikewave, Art Deco Arches, Chrysler Building Crown, Modern Art Deco, and Art Deco Scallops. Each design is available in multiple colorways and scale options, allowing you to choose what best fits your space.

If you’re not quite ready to commit, starting with a sample is a simple way to see how the pattern, color, and scale work in your space before moving forward.
If you do end up incorporating one of these designs into your home, I’d genuinely love to see how it turns out. Feel free to tag me at @jjonesdesignco so I can see and share your space.
More pattern collections are on the way, and I’m excited to continue building on this. Keep an eye on my blog for future releases and new design ideas.
