Desert Rustic Outdoor Living Space

After enduring this seemingly endless winter, it got me thinking about wanting to create an outdoor living space that would be absolutely perfect to while away the time in warmer temperatures.

I was initially inspired by the fireplace. I love fireplaces and this one I became obsessed with when I saw it on Terrain! It’s made of weathered steel, so it’s super durable and, over time, develops a natural rust-like finish that is just beautiful. So, inspired with the fireplace, I created a desert rustic vibe outdoor living room around it. You’ll notice a lot of my signature use of nature, organic materials and textures, and neutral colors with some pops of earthy and rust colors.

The idea of an outdoor living space is more than just a patio with some cheap plastic furniture. It’s creating a “proper” living room setup for your backyard. It’s perfect for entertaining guests and if you’re having a party it creates more spaces that people can naturally gather around.
